Old Fort Niagara, Summer Ghost tour
Our second opportunity to experience Old Fort Niagara, happened this past summer.  The building pictured here is known as the Castle and it was our great luck to spend the night there.
Right off the bat we had a visitor, during the opening lecture.
What follows was a rather unique series- where an orb can actually be seen in this series of photos travelling through the location.  I was able to get the orb from two different angles and out onto the lawn.  These were taken beneath the Hot Shot Lookout where the cannon used to shoot across the water is located. They were taken just before dusk when light was still fairly good.  No obvious reflective sources were found.
Above, you can see the orb, rather small and up high.  In the photo to the left there are now two orbs, slightly larger and moving over the cannon.
It was at this point that I walked to the other side of the same cannon.  Here is what was picked up.  Definitely my favorite shot of the night.
For lack of a better term, I sensed that the energy source was leaving and on a whim took a shot where I guessed it was headed. I was actually rather surprised to catch this in relative daylight.
Last time we did this tour, I was rather disappointed that our pictures didn't pick up anything in the Preist's Hole behind the Chapel, as it's one of the more famous places at the Fort for odd occurrences and the source of several ghost stories.  This time we got a bit luckier.
As an added treat, this time we set up recorders and cameras and held a few seances.  We got quite a bit of activity and some successful recordings of the bumps and knocks that we heard.
Right at the beginning, we had some stuff crashing outside of the dining room that we were using.  It coincided perfectly with requesting evidence of their presence.  Alas, since no equiptment was set up in other rooms to 'watch,' we have to accept that it *could*  have been some gusty winds or racoons.  Though, we found no evidence of critters and the winds weren't that strong...  It was a great spooky experience with  many odd manifestations.  Did I say how spooky it was?
